Exhibitors’ Buy-In Increases Two-Fold, Year-to-Year
Amerinet, AACS, Afflink, European Liver Congress, IBM Business Partner Executive Conference, recruiting fairs: A revolution is brewing. Over 100 events sprouted “Pick up your Poken” collection desks since our last newsletter.
Situated next to registration, visitors are becoming accustomed to being offered their networking and document collection USB stick at events small and big.
Why the drive to boost networking and help participants engage with exhibitors? In this digital age where most of our days are spent behind computer screens, real-world events are seeing continued growth as participants try to make the most of their time to mingle and meet.
Why is Smart City World Congress going into its third year of using Poken’s “touch technology” to green its event and boost engagement? For the same reasons Afflink, Amerinet, AACS, and countless other shows are on their second or third year of repeat adoption of the digital touch experience: Because the numbers are great, and the visitor feedback is outstanding.
Many companies also face budget pressure, and seek stronger justification for employees’ travels and exhibiting costs. It has become important for every participant, and every exhibitor, to measure their event ROI in terms of number of people met, and number of meaningful visits to their booth. Both on a personal level and and in providing hard metrics for management reports, Poken has met the challenges of the event industry with a simple, non-intrusive solution that participants, exhibitors, and show organizers simply love.
The experience for a visitor of not having to carry around a bag full of promotional material, combined with the usefulness of being able to forward
digital collateral to her colleagues even before flying home, often leads to the offhand comment:“Why doesn’t every show have this!”
Organizers are increasingly being approached by key stakeholders – VIP participants, or sponsors, suggesting the use of Poken’s Green Event solutions.
Measuring feedback from participants is precious. Wall-based surveys, combined with touch-agendas for the conference track such as the one below from one of the top travel trade-shows, provide valuable real-time feedback to the organizer.
At the Amerinet trade show in Orlando last month, exhibitors’ buy-in to the Poken Lead Generation tools increased
two-fold from one show to the next: At the 2012 edition of this medical industry show, 30% of exhibitors used Poken Touchpoints in their booths. This year a whopping 60% of exhibitors purchased the poken lead-generation packs, increasing digital document collection and improving the organizers’ bottom line.
Increasingly large shows are signing up to Poken’s Lead Generation tools, adhering both to the Green message, and to the cost-savings opportunity. One of the tech industry’s biggest European shows, CARTES 2013, held in Paris, has selected Poken as their primary networking and lead generation provider. Exhibitors sign up and purchase packs through a dedicated webpage.
Poken is turning out to be a true revelation for many long-time trade show professionals. We’re excited about what lies ahead, as we help digitalize document collection, and enhance networking, in all corners of the business world.
