Cars and Poken: combining utility and passion.
With Poken, collecting people, places and things has never been faster. With a simple touch, you can gather and exchange digital information in the real world.
So it’s not a coincidence that many of our fans love car racing. Some of them have branded their racecars: from Formula-2 in Europe to Drag Racing in Australia, we’ve seen at least 5 Poken-branded speedsters whizzing by.
But it’s not only our car fans that have been using Poken. Car brands, such as BMW (in Germany and Holland), Mini (in Japan and Romania) and Fiat (in Paris) have been using our products and platform to generate high quality sales leads and differentiate their brand in this highly competitive market.
BMW distributes pokens to attendees at car shows to enabled people to collect digital brochures about the different cars. Extracting detailed metrics, the company can then find out the models visitors are most interested in.
Mini has incorporated Poken into the welcome package every new owner receives when they purchase a car. The company created a community that enhances online and offline interactions between Mini owners, and provides them with limited edition offers and collectibles (such as an unreleased music track) at their events, adding value to their loyalty program.
Fiat uses Poken to extract useful metrics and consumer insights from their flagship stores. This information is used to fine-tune the creation of marketing and communication materials.
In addition to these major car brands, a leading American car magazine uses Poken to revive its large database of archived articles and reviews. Based on the models and car brands visitors collect at car shows, they are suggested to read appropriate articles and reviews.
Poken is driving innovation into the way car manufactures generate leads and better understand their consumer’s interests.

Poken wishes you a happy holiday season.
In 2011, we worked together with hundreds of customers across several different industries, adding value to their events and businesses through the innovative new products we launched this year.
We were blown away by the different uses our customers found for our technology, and their creative ideas to use our platform to address their specific needs. They certainly pushed our team to further improve our content management system and to deliver unique customized experiences to their target audiences.
We couldn’t have achieved this without the dedication and support of our worldwide network of resellers. They continue to play an important part in our global growth and in the development of innovative solutions for our clients around the world.
In 2012, we will continue to enhance our platform with new widgets and further possibilities for customization, and also to extend the reach of our mobile app to different platforms, building upon the great advances we made in 2011.
As the end of this year approaches, we would like to wish you a happy holiday season, and to invite you to be part of our success in the coming year.

Poken and Nokia are leading the way to make the benefits of NFC mainstream.
The term NFC may sound very technical, but the technology itself is very simple to understand and easy to use. It stands for Near Field Communication, a secure way to establish a high-speed wireless connection between two devices by simply touching them.
The technology enables encrypted data exchange that makes sharing of information more intuitive and interactive. No manual configurations are necessary to identify the two devices. The connection between them is automatically established with a simple touch.
NFC is not a new technology. It has been around for a few years, but it was not until recently that businesses have been unveiling all it’s potential, using it to differentiate their brands, to distribute rich media information offline and engage potential customers in interactive experiences.
Poken app will come pre-installed in most Nokia’s NFC-enabled phones.

Nokia led the way back in 2006, creating the first mobile phone to use NFC. Recognizing our leadership in the deployment of NFC solutions, Nokia partnered with Poken to bring into the mainstream some of the benefits of the technology to our everyday lives. To achieve that, most NFC-enabled Nokia phones will come with the pokenMOBILE App pre-installed.
People can use the app to create their social business card and instantly swop all their contact details and social network profiles with one simple touch.
It can also be used to collect rich media offline, such as digital discount vouchers, promotional coupons and multimedia information about products and shops. All that is displayed in real-time on the phone screen.
Poken is being featured in Nokia’s 701 marketing campaign.
Acknowledging all the benefits our application will bring to users, Nokia decided to feature the Poken app on all marketing collaterals for the launch of the new 701 phones in Turkey, including television ads, billboards, online banners, magazine and newspaper ads.
To support this major launch, we created a website in turkish with information about our products and business solutions, along with a promotional campaign to motivate people to invite their friends to download the pokenMOBILE app. Participants will get in a draw to win a Nokia Prize Package, that includes Nokia Play 360° NFC Speakers, Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-905 and Nokia Speakerphone HF-310.
Over the years, Poken has been deploying NFC to help corporate customers to enhance networking experience at events, distribute rich media offline and generate high quality leads.
Now, with pokenMOBILE coming pre-installed in all NFC-enabled Nokia phones, we are starting to make the benefits of the technology available to the consumer market, enabling a more intuitive way for people to interact with the world.
